The Epic V5 Rotomoulded  surfski allows beginners to jump on and paddle with confidence and give more experienced paddlers a short, stable surfski to use in big or rough conditions. Sleek lines and Epic’s comfortable surfski cockpit make the V5 perfect to learn downwind paddling and great for playing in the surf zone. 

The V5 roto comes standard with under hull rudder, adjustable foot brace (including pedals that automatically adjust line length), rear storage compartment, bow and stern handles, center carry handles, water bottle holder and Epic’s patented bailer. An optional stern kick up rudder can be added to the Rotomolded version with no modifications needed to allow the V5 to be paddled in shallow or rocky areas.

With a hull design featuring specs of 4.88 m x 58.4 cm, the Epic V6 is unique in its class. It has a surfski cockpit with the storage capacity of a touring kayak. It also has extremely good shallow water capability with the TrackMasterPlus kick up rudder system also borrowed from Epic’s touring kayak range.

Fast, yet extremely stable, this is a surfski/ touring kayak hybrid that almost every paddler should be able master very quickly. The cockpit is the same as the V8 surfski and features a fully adjustable foot brace and a bottle holder. The deck has rear deck bungees, safety lines, and also incorporates bow, stern, and side carry handles. Surfskis are no longer unstable racing craft capable of being paddled only by professional athletes. Most levels of paddler can get onto a V8 DOUBLE and paddle proficiently from the first day.

Our goal for this boat is very similar to our goals when we introduced the V10. We wanted to make a boat faster than anything existing in the class, while still making it user friendly enough that a large number of people can enjoy it.

The seat is very comfortable and ergonomics are superior with the cut outs to allow a closer paddle stroke. Bailers are standard in both cockpits, allowing quick drainage when needed, with the option to close them and give a dry cockpit with decreased drag in flat conditions.

The K1T was developed from our largest K1 hull, the Legacy XXL. We then modified our surfski cockpit to combine the bucket length of the V14 with the larger leg length adjustability of the V5 rail system. A paddler who can fit in the V14 will fit in this boat, with the added bonus of shorter paddlers now getting to have their fun too!​

The K1T acts essentially like a high volume K1 with all the added benefits of a surfski. Safety is greatly increased over a typical K1, as remounting is possible, and any water can be quickly drained away by the Epic bailer. No more dragging the boat to shore if you capsize or are inundated by a wave! Our standard surfski footboard and pedals will give you the adjustability and steering you are accustomed to. This should provide much better steering control than standard tiller bar setups.

The K1T will be a great choice for advanced paddlers who often paddle choppier flatwater conditions. It will also be a great option for surfski paddlers who like to train for flatwater when they cannot be on the ocean.

The Twist is an all-new paddle series created by Epic to give maximum efficiency for experienced paddlers. The Epic Deck Pad assists you with extra traction/extra support for your ski. Often placed near the bungee cords to protect the deck against scratching from your paddle or other items being stored, the deck pad can also be used on the footwell for comfort or indeed anywhere on the deck where you may want some protection / grip.

Sized at 30cm x 30cm, it is easily applied to the ski with 3M adhesive backing tape so it's ready to peel and install without any fuss.

Use our seat pads for comfort or stack them to speed the transition to a narrower boat.

Our removable seat pads are made from 6.5mm (1/4”) thick closed cell foam. This allows for proper rotation in the boat, while adding comfort. 

Lightweight and extremely tough, with a small profile.

Perfect for staying connected to your boat and/or hanging onto your paddle! The Paddle Leash attaches to your paddle shaft allowing you to keep track of your paddle in case you lose grip or require both hands to remount.

Always use a leash! In strong winds, our lightweight boats can blow away from you faster than you can swim. Practice your remounts while wearing your leash(es) so there are no surprises when you are forced to remount.

Is seaweed slowing you down? Epic’s Weedless Rudder for the V-Series surfskis is the answer. 

Combined with our carbon weed deflector (included in your purchase), the weedless rudder is designed to shed seaweed and prevent those irritating hang-ups during your training session or race.

The Rough Water Weedless Rudder combines the weed shedding ability of our Weedless Rudder with the increased control of our Surf Rudder.

Combined with our large carbon Weed Deflector (included), the Rough Water Weedless rudder is designed to shed seaweed and prevent those irritating hang-ups during your training session or race, while still giving you the control you need in bigger conditions.

Perfect leash for races, for a quick-release at the end of the race. Coil leash attaches just below the knee.

The Deluxe Leg Leash is equipped with a quick-release carabiner. This is a valuable feature for paddlers, as you typically do not want to be attached to your boat in larger shore break conditions.

We recommend that you always use a leash! In strong winds, our lightweight boats can blow away from you faster than you can swim. Practice your remounts while wearing your leash(es) so there are no surprises when you are forced to remount.

Please note: these leashes are designed for use in races for the quick release carabiner and are not guaranteed to stay connected under extreme tension, or in extreme conditions. 

There are 4 different colour options, unless specified in notes when you purchase at check out, the product will be selected at random. Colours are; Black, Grey, Aqua and Olive. Colours are great as you can easily identify them. 

Our new ergonomic Back Pad for Epic surfskis is made of closed-cell foam and attaches to the seat with a velcro strap. The contoured shape is designed to provide lower back support for paddlers desiring additional comfort while still allowing freedom of movement.

 Some surfski paddlers tend to 'slouch' in the seat, and the Epic Back Pad acts as an anti-slouch device! The pad is approximately 1" thick at the top and tapers down. It can also allow our shorter paddlers to better reach the pedals.

Install - Align the top edge of the Back Pad with the highest point of the rear of the cockpit where it is still vertical - just as the seat shape breaks backward for the comfortable 'lean back' cutaway.

 If you plan to remove the entire pad and velcro at some point, you should try to first attach a strip of pipe wrap tape to the rear of the cockpit first, and then attach the self-adhesive velcro to that.
